Residence: Elysium Castle, Frozen North (Due North West of the Crystal Empire sheltered within the mountain range) 

Age: Just over 1000 years old

Personality: Reserved around other ponies due to lack of contact with other ponies. More or less cheerful by herself or with her 'friends'.

Backstory (more in my comic series soon, I'll sum it up but may be changed slightly): 

Arcadia was born to two natural alicorns. Her father specialised in manipulating objects around him whether it be changing the form or moving the object (levitation/teleportation), her mother specialised in rejuvenating spells and was mainly responsible for the rejuvenation of plants in the Spring. She was raised well by her parents, gaining her Cutie Mark which represented her ideals for a heavenly life - at this point it was living happily with her parents - until the war between the Alicorns and the draconequus, where most of the natural Alicorns were wiped out her parents included. Elysium castle remained safe due to it being well out of the way of civilization. Arcadia was left at the castle by herself, she waited for many passing years for her parents to return. Little did she know that their promise would never come to be... "Stay here Arcadia, we shall return soon."

Over the passing years, Arcadia never stopped believing her parents would return, however deprived of her two attachment figures she slowly delved into the depths of long term attachment deprivation although her symptoms weren't outward except from her cutie mark, her flank began to be shrouded in black as she grew more distant to reality. She began to realize her loneliness, at first she was protesting with herself, she refused to believe that her parents wouldn't return she kept trying to convince herself that they would return any day soon. Eventually she calmed down however she slowly sunk into despair, becoming withdrawn and uninterested in her surroundings. 

50 years ago she realized her specialized magic... She wanted somepony to comfort her, somepony to be her caregiver whilst she waited for her parents whom would never return. Her mind formed another being, an imaginary friend, Illusive. At first she was wary around the pony, she reminded her of her mum for some reason thus making her seem more approachable. Eventually Illusive became a 'big sister' to her, taking care of Arcadia even though the two could never interact fully with each other due to Illusive being imaginary. Arcadia wanted Illusive to be real, she wanted Illusive to be her real big sister not just an imaginary figment and that's when it happened. She used a special spell, the certain spell she soon realized she specialized in, giving what is imaginary a real medium.

That brings us to the present (more to be seen in my comic series soon) where Arcadia lives with Illusive seemingly happy, she now believes that her heavenly life is living peacefully with her own delusion... she still waits for her parents to return. Having no real interaction with any other ponies since she has long grew reserved... so what might happen when a certain crystal pony stumbles upon the castle?

Arcadia can fly very short distances and small heights (for example reaching books in the castle library), however she has barely needed to use them making her a weak flyer. She specializes in her specific spell type (giving illusions medium form) however she has also learned basic levitation spells from her Father before the war.

*The symbol, much like a heavenly gate, represents her ideals. She dreams of a 'heavenly' life however her visions have since been corrupted hence the black shroud around the mark.
